The IMID-Biobank of the Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron Biobank is a reference public biobank specialized in the logistics of biomedical research projects (processing, storage and management of biological samples) focused on Immune Mediated Inflammatory Diseases (IMIDs) whose ultimate goal is to promote quality research that translates into an improvement in the quality of life of patients.

Stored biological samples include DNA, RNA, plasma, serum and peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
Diseases
The biobank stores high quality biological samples from six common IMIDs: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
